It’s time, yet again, to begin thinking about the photos and videos we have taken during our holiday gatherings. Now is the perfect time to begin gathering photos and videos you want to share with your friends and family and make a plan for sharing them. At Photo Gym, we are always looking for fun new ideas to get your photos off your phone, out of the boxes and bins and back into your life. In this post, we’ll talk about some of them!
WiFi Digital Photo Frames
These were such a HUGE hit at the Gym this year! We placed several bulk orders AND sold out of those we had in stock! The reason is easy to understand, with these frames you can share and enjoy your photos and videos by sending them from an app on your phone (up to five friends or family members can have the same frame paired to their app and send photos directly from their phone to the frame). Each frame gets it’s own email address and photos and videos can be emailed directly to them. Or, if you prefer, you can manage 1-10 frames from your web-based profile. All handy options for those who live apart to help them stay up to the day-to-day events in your life.
We’ve talked about the beauty of photo books many times already but this post is specifically about Picaboo books. We like them because they are high-quality, offer many sizes and the interface for creating them is web-based (so you can create on any computer without the need to purchase software) and we find it easy for our customers to learn and use. Currently, they are offering a free 20-page, classic, book. There’s no better time to check it out. Get your free book!
For those you of you with too little time, think about joining the Photo Book Club! Just send us up to ten photos per month and we’ll create your annual album and a beautiful, customized, web gallery that you can share all year round.
A personalized calendar is a fun way to share photos from the past year all year round.
Did you know you can include photos for individual dates? We like to put a photo of our family’s photos on their birthdays, wedding anniversaries and other significant dates.
They can be created quickly and make meaningful, heartwarming, gifts. There are a ton of companies that offer these but (again), we really like Picaboo. The web-based interface is very close to the same as the one used to create Photo Books so it’s easy to find your way around once you’ve learned in either interface. We also like the quality of the calendar itself, they are study and printed on high-quality paper that is finished with a lustre-type surface that feels nice and looks beautiful.
Whether you convert your old home movies or create a montage from the videos on your phones, you are sure to capture the moment perfectly. Apple iPhone users can do it right on their phone using iMovie, which is installed by default on iPhones. It is fast and easy to do something really fun and memorable. If you are a PC user, check out the options with the new Photos app, you can put together a movie from your photos and movies quickly and easily and share all the memories you collected with everyone who was there, and those who weren’t too!
This movie was made with iMovie, on the iMac, at the Gym. It’s easy and so much fun to take a holiday, trip or span of time in your life and set it to music with a little of Apple’s outstanding technical pizazz then share that memory in a short clip. Add text, voice overs or music to help tell your story!
Photo Fitness Box
Maybe you have good intentions of getting organized but just can’t find the time or energy to actually get it done. We have an idea to help! The addition of our Photo Fitness Box allows you to choose your most valuable memories and have them preserved so you and generations to come can enjoy them. Just fill a Photo Box with whatever you’d like to have digitized and we’ll take it from there. Print photos, slides and negatives will be scanned. Video tapes will be converted to digital. How about digital photos…do you have some of them that you would like to have organized? Put the SD card or flash drive in the box and we’ll organize them by year and month, according to the date taken on the photo. Once they are digitized, we’ll give them back to you on your choice of flash drive or web-transfer (via Dropbox). And, we are here to answer any questions you may have throughout the process.
Beginning in January, we’re offering specials on Gym Membership and will offer special tips and tricks for organizing digital photos, just in time to help you with the chaos on your phones and cameras! Be sure to sign up for our newsletter if you haven’t already so you don’t miss out. And if you need help with any of these ideas, we’d love to help. Call us at 660-951-0746 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get started today!
